Privacy Policy for RestReader
Last updated: March 15, 2026
RestReader is an iOS application for listening to audiobook content on YouTube. We do not collect, store, log, or transmit any personal data.
No Personal Data Is Collected
RestReader has no user accounts, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no servers of its own. All data including your library, playlists, bookmarks, playback positions, and preferences are stored only on your device using local storage.
YouTube Content
RestReader uses the YouTube IFrame Player API to play videos. When you play a video, your device communicates directly with YouTube's servers. RestReader does not proxy, intercept, or store any data from these communications.
YouTube may collect data according to its own privacy policy when you watch content. Please review:
Data Storage
All app data is stored locally on your device. This includes:

This data is not transmitted to any server. Deleting the app removes all stored data.

RestReader does not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking frameworks. We do not collect device identifiers, usage statistics, or any other information about you or how you use the app.
Children's Privacy
RestReader does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected here and in app release notes.
